Waterloo Postdoc Quarantine Program Registration Form

The Waterloo Postdoc Quarantine Package provides access to supports for new and returning postdoctoral fellows travelling from outside of Canada.  The purpose of these supports is to assist postdocs in fulfilling the mandatory quarantine requirements as set by the Government of Canada. This package is available for one time use by postdocs who must travel internationally to attend UWaterloo and includes:

• Transportation to/parking at the Waterloo Region hotel
• Private room with washroom at a Waterloo Region hotel
• Three (3) meals/day delivered to your door

The University is providing this as a helpful service to postdoctoral fellows. It is important to note that, as a temporary foreign worker, you, and you alone, are responsible for ensuring you meet all immigration and quarantine/self-isolation requirements as determined by the federal government.

You should register as soon as you have your working visa, booked  your flight, and at least 7-14 days before you travel.  The overall package deadline is Monday, November 8, 2021 at 11:59pm EST, but you should register based on the deadline dependent on your arrival date.  Please note that your travel plans can take place any time between August 1 and November 15, 2021.

To be eligible for the Quarantine Package, you must meet all of the following criteria:

• Be a current or incoming postdoctoral fellow of the University of Waterloo (as defined by the postdoc guidelines and must be appointed as such on the University’s non-faculty appointment form).

• Must travel to Canada from an international destination to work at the University of Waterloo.

If your plans change and you no longer wish to participate in this package, please advise us via email at accombook@uwaterloo.ca no later than 48-hours prior to your arrival.  The $113 ($100 + 13% HST) administration fee is nonrefundable for all variations of the package.
