Catering ordered through this site will be delivered to your location and include setup with linen tablecloth, serving utensils, eco-friendly plates, napkins, cutlery and cleanup after your event.

Leftover food will be managed by our qualified staff to ensure proper food handling and safety.

 

Delivery fees will be waived for on campus orders over $100.00. Orders below $100.00 are subject to a $14.00 delivery charge. Hot food items will be charged a $22.00 delivery fee.  A delivery fee will apply to orders delivered off-campus. Saturday and Sunday deliveries require minimum sales.

 

Once an order is submitted, any changes must be requested by contacting Catering & Event Services directly at ext. 84700 or email catering@uwaterloo.ca.

Should it be necessary to cancel your order, please call the Catering and Event Services Office at ext. 84700 as soon as possible.  Cancellations made within 2 business days before the event will be charged the full amount of the total invoice. 

 

Sustainability:  As part of our sustainability and environment initiatives, we use eco-friendly compostable tableware, cutlery & napkins.  China service is available for an additional charge. We have removed all plastic straws from our service and paper straws are available upon request.  University of Waterloo is a Certified Fair Trade Campus and we are proud to serve locally roasted, organic Fairtrade coffee & tea.  

 

Menu: Supporting the local economy is important to Catering & Event Services and our chefs strive to purchase food locally through our vendors when it is available and have created menus to reflect our local food offerings.  Due to unforeseen circumstances, menus may need to be modified. Catering & Event Services will, in all instances, substitute a comparable or greater quality product that is consistent with the menu. 

 

Food Allergy Disclaimer and Dietary Restrictions: Catering and Event Services does not have allergen-free kitchens and serving lines but we take every precaution to check ingredient information and to ensure that cross contamination of ingredients does not occur. Ingredients and nutritional content may vary. Manufacturers may change their product formulation or consistency without our knowledge and product availability may fluctuate so we cannot completely guarantee products are allergen free. It is the responsibility of the customer with food allergies or other specified nutrition concerns to make the final judgement on whether or not to question the ingredients of a food item or to choose to eat the foods selected. Guests are encouraged to consider information provided, to their own satisfaction, in light of their own individual needs and requirements.  Dietary requests must be communicated to Catering and Event Services a minimum of 4 business days prior to your event.

 

Guaranteed Numbers:

When booking your event you will be asked to give an estimated number of guests you are expecting.  A final guarantee number of guests is required 4 business days prior to your event.

 

Terms & Conditions:

You are responsible for having the door to the room open 15 minutes prior to your delivery time and for providing the necessary tables for the food and beverage service.

Catering & Event Services will strive to deliver 15 minutes prior to the event starting time.  To ensure that your order is secure, we recommend that someone is present to accept delivery. Catering & Event Services is not responsible for unattended events after delivery. 

Subsequent pick-up of equipment after the initial attempt will have an additional pick-up charge. 

All deliveries are for immediate consumption only.  Due to health regulations, we assume no responsibility for food handling after the initial delivery.

 

Invoicing - University of Waterloo:  All University clients must provide the department accounting code at the time of booking. The account number that is given will automatically be charged after the event. Changes to the account number after this time, will have to be changed with the Finance department directly.
